Licensed Acupuncturist

Dr. Lauren Grisanti, Acupuncturist in Williamsburg

I'm Dr. Lauren Grisanti, D.Ac., L.Ac. Grisanti Acupuncture is my private practice — one room, one patient at a time.

Philosophy

A different kind of care

My treatments are rooted in the understanding that acupuncture should relieve unnecessary suffering. Through a gentle yet assertive approach, I strive to help you redefine what is possible for your body and well-being. By acknowledging that physical and emotional health are directly linked, my goal is to connect you with your innate capacity to heal.

I’m committed to developing a collaborative partnership, where we both play an active role in your progress. My priority is to ensure you feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout your experience. To maintain this level of care, I see one patient at a time, allowing me to remain fully present with you during all aspects of your treatment.

BIO

I'm a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) based in Brooklyn, NY. I earned my Master's in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health Sciences in 2021, and I draw on Five Elements acupuncture, Kiiko Matsumoto-style Japanese acupuncture, and trigger point therapy (dry needling) to shape each treatment around what a patient may need.

My path to acupuncture wasn't linear. I studied Advertising Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (2010), then spent eight years in sales and customer-facing roles at startups and tech companies. My background as a designer, technologist, and someone who changed careers herself still shapes how I work today, especially with entrepreneurs, creatives, therapists, medical workers, and anyone navigating a major life transition.

Outside the office I enjoy watching baseball, cooking, gardening, and time with my partner and our cat, Oscar.

Where I focus

I keep a general practice, but the work closest to me is here:

Anxiety, stress, burnout, and the weight your nervous system has been carrying.

02

Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain

Long-standing back, neck, and joint pain that hasn't resolved on its own.

03

In Their Words

A person with darker skin wearing a white garment is holding the hand of another person with lighter skin, who is wearing an orange garment. The focus is on their hands.

I've been going to Lauren for acupuncture to treat anxiety/stress for the past year, and it's been amazing! It has helped me feel more balanced and way less stressed, even more than I thought was possible. She makes you so comfortable and does a great job, I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of trying it out."
